“If your not having fun your fired.” –Jake Moe,  yea that is our office motto and one reason I love contributing to Bomb Snow. I have had the opportunity to design pages from my own travels, to amazing photographers like Jeff Hawe and artsits Mike Parillo, Adam Haynes, Spacecraft, and more. Currently I design a couple articles, manage the publication pre-press, help update the website, and provide creative chaos / art direction. Proud to help un-plug corporate media malarkey. Fueled by a love of free-speech, creative impulse, and an alternative to the MASS-DISTRACTION called media, Bomb Snow Magazine is dedicated to providing readers with legitimate content through crafty design, quality photography & progressive ideas.

Be it a guest critique for senior thesis, presenting my process and projects with students, to taking over the class for a month. I have been honored to spend time teaching and helping the Graphic Design program at MSU in Bozeman over the last 4 years.

Creative + Production Designer + Photographer  /  Bozeman Montana  /  www.45degreesnorth.com
Working with a (6) six person team I contributed in the design of identity and branding elements for a number of national and local businesses. Our clientele ranged from regional festivals, non-profits, to food banks and financial banks. My duties included design, photography, managing projects and budgets, to assisting our lead designer with creative and production design, and working directly with clients on a daily basis. Creating advertising, website layout, business packages, festival brochures, marketing campaigns. I had a great experience working with a small firm and having a direct contact with clients.

My responsibilities began as a production assistant to the head designer, along with creating and organizing ads as an internship. I worked my way up to designing layout and photography assignments, along with coördinating all ad placement. Upon graduation I took over partial design of the magazine before moving to Alaska. In 2009 I was hired to take over as Photo Editor. During which I coördinated all imagery, edited and created ads, photography, and illustrations. This included the annual Photo calendar and MSU College Guide visuals.

While attending MSU I helped design and photograph for the School of Arts Annual Alumni Newsletter. Then in 2008, while working full time for 45 Degrees North, I was asked to instruct two design students for a 400 level class, this included organizing and art directing the newsletter along with design, photography and print coördination.
